Of course, any web_search_engine is a great way to look up so many kinds of things with millions of websites to sort through, but who has time to sort through millions of links? This reference blog project makes extensive use of web_search_engines, but it obviously doesn't have millions of links. Things here are referenced for a comparison of the multitude of perspectives, ideas, subjects & topics out there.
Sometimes the full website link or a specific page URL isn't displayed here, but the intent is still to direct readers to other sites. Several abbreviated reference links can be found throughout this blog. In most cases, by clicking onto these compressed links should still provide a direct reference point & acknowledgment to their respective authors &/or proprietors. So even when a book is out of print, a TV series is canceled & other ones emerge, they can still be referenced, because that's what this blog is about. Some people don't like their specific web pages to be hyperlinked, only the main page of their site. I'm constantly scanning through various websites for ideas & comparisons in a non-profit, Fair Use context.
So many people have interesting things to say & sometimes it overlaps or intersects with the works of others. This blog project is of a non profit nature & is just a hobby of mine. Its of a simple design so its easier to distinguish it from the many websites being referenced. Some posts start off with just a few words & links. Eventually some sections are updated weeks & months since first posting.
Wikipedia is heavily used here for general reference purposes. Wikipedia usually provides an extensive list of various references in relation to certain topics & subjects. However, its always good to check out other articles & websites beyond Wikipedia for a more comprehensive perspective.
