In 2001 on 9-11, many people saw or were affected by the disaster involving 110 story buildings. Back in 1992 people had no frame of reference for 9-11 & 110 public shelters. Yet 9-11 & 110 was apparent back then.

In an earlier plan, the 2 big WTC buildings would have been just a little north of where 55_Water_Street is.

So ironically, the New_Pearl_Harbor could have occurred much closer to the intersection of, Pearl+Street+Wall+Street.

The original choice for the WTC site was for it to be on the East River side & was to feature 2 big slabs.
These 2 slabs would have been on either side of 120-wall-street.
The south slab was to be a tall & wide office tower. The north slab would appear like a tower that's laying down on its side. Curiously, the slab on its side would have featured 2 big squares.

When the WTC site was finally chosen to be on the Hudson River side, the 2 big squares were omitted from the design. The 2 wide slabs became the two iconic tall & slender towers. However, in the years after the destruction of the WTC, the 2 big squares were eventually worked back into the overall site rebuilding plan.

Of course, the twin Topa+Towers were nowhere near the size of the giant ones in NYC. Yet, somehow Oahu was getting it first set of big twin office building at the same time that Manhattan was getting its giant twin towers. The ones in Honolulu were built just a couple of blocks north of the 9-11 Aloha Tower. So, the Aloha_Tower becomes the tallest building in Hawaii in 1926 on 9-11. Then by the late 1960s twin office buildings are built close to it. Around the same time a construction project of gigantic twin towers starts in NYC. But while the ones in Honolulu still safely stand close to the 9-11 Aloha_Tower, the giant ones in NYC get destroyed on 9-11 in what becomes the New_Pearl_Harbor.
